“The world of tomorrow is in the hands of the children we nurture today.

Empowering Kids Through Yoga

“To me nothing in the world is as precious as a genuine smile, especially from a child.” ~ Rumi

Once children begin to experience the benefits of yoga they will find themselves with a toolbox that is accessible to them at any time for any number of reasons.

Why Sensory Yoga?

Kids (sensory) Yoga… What is it? The literal definition of yoga is to unite or tie the strands of the mind together. Organizing the mind may seem like a massive challenge especially when it comes to kids, but by practicing yoga asana (physical postures), meditation and pranayama (breathwork) it becomes like second nature. Yoga provides a holistic approach to all over wellness and mindfulness. Practicing yoga regularly leads to better balance, proprioception, improved flexibility (less injuries), better-quality sleep, enhanced focus and mental retention as well as a more resilient nervous system. Yoga also provides the proprioceptive, interoceptive and vestibular input / feedback that children with sensory challenges benefit from.
